Featured page terms

1. What you get

• A featured page for one business at one address, as described on the For businesses page: your page open to every visitor; your description, photos, menu, booking and social links; questions and answers written with you; Featured placement in the lists you appear in; a live open-now badge; a window card.

2. Price and payment

• The price is a single payment of £499.
• There is no annual fee, subscription or renewal charge.
• Payment is taken when you buy. We then build your page with you and show you the finished page before it goes live. If you are not happy with it, tell us before it goes live and we will refund you in full.

3. How long it lasts

• "For life" means for as long as Rochester Insider is published.
• If the guide ever closes, we will give you at least three months' notice by email and send you your description, photos and questions to use elsewhere.

4. Updates included

• Factual changes, as often as you need them: opening hours, holiday and seasonal closures, phone, email, website, booking and menu links, and corrections. Send them through the update form. We usually make them within five working days.
• A content refresh up to four times a year: a new description, photos, highlights or questions.

5. Not included

• Daily specials and frequent price changes; extra pages; online ordering, booking or payment systems; email accounts; your own domain name; design or writing for anything outside Rochester Insider. We are happy to quote for these.

6. Search and AI assistants

• We build and maintain your page the way search engines and AI assistants read the web, and update its technical setup as that changes.
• We cannot promise any ranking, placement or mention by Google, an AI assistant or anyone else, and we do not.

7. Your content

• You confirm you have the right to everything you send us, including photos. You keep ownership of it and allow us to publish it on Rochester Insider for as long as your page runs.

8. Independence

• Your page keeps the Rochester Insider design and is marked Featured. The guide's own short write-up stays independent, and your section is clearly shown as yours.
• We may decline or remove anything misleading or unlawful, or anything about other businesses.

9. Selling, moving or closing

• If you sell the business, the page passes to the new owner at no charge. If you move within Rochester, we update the address. If the business closes, the page is marked closed, or removed if you ask.

10. Ending it

• You can ask us to remove your page at any time. Because the fee is a single payment for a page you have already seen and approved, it is not refunded once the page has gone live.
• We may remove a page that breaks these terms, after telling you why and giving you the chance to put it right.

11. Liability

• We take care to keep your details right, but we are not liable for loss of business caused by an error, an outage, or the actions of search engines or other services. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. The legal part

• These terms are for business customers. Rochester Insider is published by Split Decision Ventures Ltd. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
